Our mission is to create quality saddlery that is stylish, functional and always designed with the horses anatomy, and therefore its comfort, first & foremost.

We've been involved with horses for over 40 years now: from eventing, dressage, showjumping, pony club, trekking, breeding and breaking in, so we reckon we know a little bit about what's good and what's not in the world of saddlery. We've seen plenty of fashion vs function during this time, and now we've taken the leap to put our experience into combining both to make quality saddlery that works and looks good, but above all is better for your horse.

Your horse' anatomy and comfort is the number one reason we're creating this range, so you won't find anything that just for fashion here. Everything we produce is considered and tested on our own horses, and is what we have found to work best for us.

BRIDLES

We’ve been working on perfecting the shape and test driving our anatomically designed headpiece for some time. I have a very sensitive mare that we bred, who is prone to headshaking and is generally sensitive to the world around her. We found that tight bridles made her much worse, along with hot conditions, o we worked with our saddler to create this headpiece where the shape distributes the pressure over the whole poll region & gives the best shape around the ear & TMJ to remove discomfort caused by pressure. This headpiece is designed to have a 'looser' fit than other headpieces, while not compromising security. A marked decrease in sweating around the head is good proof of how well it works. And a happier horse!

All of our browbands have plenty of room for reduced pressure across the forehead and around the TMJ. They are designed to fit our three-strap headpieces, but will fit other bridles as well.

Our strapping for noseband, cheekpieces, and throatlash, sit next to each other not on top of each other, which removes additional pressure points on the side of the face. Buckles are designed to sit at or below eye height to avoid nerves around the TMJ.

All buckles are sewn with the overlap outwards so they can’t create additional pressure points on the face. The noseband can be attached to either strap to get the best fit and alignment.

Our nosebands are designed to be used with the two-finger rule so that pressure points on the front and back of the nose can be eliminated.

Most of our designs are based on the simple Cavesson, where its function is to stabilise the bridle. We don't believe that a flash strap should be used just because it's there, it should be used with a need in mind, so flash straps are optional only. You can add a flash strap at any point with our Flash Strap Attachment which has been specifically designed to sit in between the padding & outer leather so that it cannot press into the horses nose. These can also be used with unpadded nosebands.

All of our bridle parts can be replaced as needed or mixed & matched to suit what will fit your horse best. With the added bonus of your choice of style!

GIRTHS & BREASTPLATES

We've had all shapes and sizes of horses here, so again we've designed our girths to work with the horses anatomy. While similar to what's on the market, our shapes are our own keeping in mind best fit & comfort for our horses. 

Any unnecessary rubbing on fascia or increased pressure points from leather points or folds is where our gear comes out on top. Details matter.

RIDERS

We also like our comfort, so tack that you have to work to use isn't going to be something we'll offer. We've spent a lot of time working on our range of reins as this is the one item that you are constantly touching, so they have to be nice to hold. So not only have we used soft leather, but we've also made them slightly wider for better grip—which also means they're ideal if you suffer from any repetitive strain injury or arthritis—it's much harder to hold a pulling horse with narrow reins!

LEATHER
We've spent some time with our supplier working on a great quality leather that gets better & softer with use, but is also consistent in colour. Our Cocoa colour is a rich brown that complements any colour horse, and we've matched this with a lovely Coffee coloured soft lining leather. We also have a beautiful Ebony with matching lining.

HARDWARE 
Quality metal fittings are used throughout. Everything is either solid stainless steel or SS coated.

STITCHING
We've paid attention to our stitching ensuring it's meticulously crafted with a fine, shorter stitch that complements or contrasts with our Cocoa leather, or matches our Ebony leather.
